This summary is here to help. The full text below is what governs.
Shipped by the artist
Every order ships directly from the artist who made it. Artistry Boutique is the marketplace; the artist is the seller.
Shipping cost and times
- Each artist sets their own rates, zones (Canada, United States, worldwide) and processing time.
- You’ll see the full shipping cost and any taxes before you pay.
- Orders with pieces from more than one artist arrive in separate packages.
- Artists must ship with tracking. You’ll get the tracking number by email.
Duties and import taxes
Orders shipped outside Canada may be charged duties, taxes or brokerage fees by the destination country. These are paid by the buyer unless the artist’s listing says otherwise.
Returns
Each artist sets their own return policy, shown on their shop or listing. Read it before you buy. Commissions and custom pieces are usually final sale.
Minimum protections on every order
Whatever the artist’s own policy, every order is covered by these minimums:
- Damaged on arrival: Tell the artist within 7 days of delivery, with photos of the piece and packaging. The artist will refund, replace or repair it.
- Not as described: If the piece is significantly different from the listing (size, medium, edition, condition or origin, including a false Indigenous-made label), tell the artist within 14 days of delivery. You can return it for a full refund, including original shipping.
- Lost or never shipped: If the order hasn’t shipped within the stated processing time plus 7 days, or tracking shows it is lost, you’re entitled to a full refund.
Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days after they’re issued.
If you can’t sort it out
Contact the artist first through their shop. If there’s no resolution within 7 days, email hello@artistryboutique.com with your order number and photos. We’ll review it and can require the artist to refund under the minimum protections above.
Nothing here limits your rights under consumer protection law in your province.
Artist memberships
Refunds and cancellation of artist memberships are covered in the Artist Agreement.
